The family tradition of the Friedrichs
goes back to the 1920s, when Josef Friedrich turned his love of leather into a vocation.

1920S

Josef Friedrich gains experience in his uncle's small leather goods shop and in 1949 takes over his uncle's small leather goods shop with five home workers and three sales representatives.

1983

Ingo Friedrich (son) begins his apprenticeship as a portfolio manager in 1967 and finally founds today's family business in 1983 and starts manufacturing purses, key rings, writing and document folders.

1987

Friedrich Lederwaren continues to grow and moves into new business premises in Schwanstetten. The first jewelery box collection is produced. New major and industrial customers are won.

2005

Markus Friedrich continues the family tradition and joins the company as managing director.

2006

The Friedrich23 brand is launched and has been steadily growing ever since.
